Coaching and Emotions - March 2012
The focus of our March Network Training Day is 'Coaching and Emotions'. It will be held in London on Thursday 22nd March.
How do we help clients handle the emotional climates of their organisations? How do we support clients to become more emotionally resilient and build grounded optimism into their own lives? What emotions do we as coaches find the most difficult to deal with, either in ourselves or when they are expressed by our clients?
We will explore how to deal with particularly strong emotions. These may include feelings such as doubt, shame, envy, anger, confusion and regret through to confidence, calm, elation and joy.
Explore New Ideas Together
Come along and explore ways of working with a wide range of emotions in coaching. There will be plenty to discover and discuss, including:
- The importance of leaders understanding their role in influencing the ‘emotional climate’ of their organisations.
- Developing and supporting EQ and SQ in our clients.
- Practical ways to work with “stuckness”, resistance and denial.
- How emotional confluence and differentiation with our clients influences coaching effectiveness.
Jude Elliman will share thoughts from her research dissertation on “Coaching and Humour.” In particular considering what part humour plays in positively or negatively changing the mood of a coaching session.
