Coaching Different Generations - September 2011
The focus of our next Network Training Day is 'Coaching the Different Generations'. It will be held in London on Thursday 22nd September and repeated in Oxford on Friday 23rd September 2011.
We will be looking at what challenges there are in coaching outside our own generation. How does our own age, experience, language, culture and expectations enhance or hinder our coaching with clients who are different to us? Big questions for us as coaches.
Becoming more aware of the issues and grappling with them on a practical level is important. How do we as coaches work with so many categories of expectation?
Explore New Ideas Together
Come along and learn more about the broad characteristics of the different generations: the millennials, 'Generation Y', 'Generation X' and 'baby boomers. There will be plenty to explore and discuss:
- Do we need to adapt our coaching to be more in tune with the different generations?
- Where and how do we become stuck?
- Do our differences potentially enhance the coaching alliance?
- Can organisations meld the different generations together towards the results they want to achieve?
- How can we as coaches help them to make the most of the diversity that exists?
