How the simadirections programme works

You will work with a trained coach using the widely respected SIMA® process to address your specific needs and discover for yourself where your career interests lie and how you can satisfy them.

The programme can be carried out either face-to-face, by telephone or by a mixture of the two and typically involves four sessions, each lasting between 1 and 2 hours.

During these you will work with your coach to:

• Review in-depth activities or achievements in your life so far
• |dentify your abilities and interests, what enthuses and motivates you and how you enjoy using this unique set of attributes
• Match your unique abilities, interests and motivations to a variety of career options.
• Agree how you should investigate these options in more detail by carrying out research and devising experiments.
• Prepare an attractive CV or Personal Statement and put together an action plan for identifying and getting a satisfying job

The programme does not rely on you completing impersonal computer based psychometric tests, although these may play a supplementary part. However, you will be required to spend time preparing for the meetings and actively researching opportunities.
